Primary Engineer Structures, Mechanisms and Basic Electrics
This course for teachers of KS1/Lower Primary and KS2/Upper Primary shows the safe and correct use of tools, materials and basic electrics in the manufacture of a range of vehicles.
This hands-on teacher training course allows up to 2 teachers per school to design and construct two vehicles. The first KS1/Lower Primary model is manufactured from recycled materials to achieve specific outcomes. The second KS2/Upper Primary vehicle will be designed to be electrically powered. Delegates will construct their own vehicles to use as exemplars. Pupil are then invited to Celebration Events at the end of the project to compete with other schools in the area who have taken part.
Improve confidence in designing and making products that are fit for purpose across all year groups in the school.
Learn how to integrate simple electric circuits into a working vehicle.
Delegates will take away working models, access to classroom teaching resources and consumable teaching resources and tools.
