Student Masterclass at The National Space Centre

National Space Academy

National Space Academy Masterclasses are intensive education sessions which can be aimed at students aged from 11 to 19 years old.  Masterclasses can be delivered as a full or half day

and all sessions consist of curriculum-linked and subject-specific content that is appropriate to the age group and level of the class.

The curriculum content of these Masterclasses is introduced through cutting edge space science and engineering research contexts; including recent and important historical space missions as well as the way that space enabled technology affects our daily lives.

All National Space Academy Masterclasses have a strong practical element including hands on activities and opportunities for student involvement.  In addition to the curriculum content, Masterclasses include examples of careers relating to the space sector as well as more generalised space careers information.

When you book a masterclass with the National Space Academy, our team will work with you to focus on the specific curriculum needs that you have, be it working with C/D borderline students in exam years, challenging gifted and talented students, inspiring students of all levels, or taking students through revision sessions.

Masterclasses at the National Space Centre also include access to the Centre's galleries, rocket tower and a Sir Patrick Moore Planetarium show.
