Guide to Examples of Good Quality STEM Placements

Produced for the Department for Education, this resource from Sheffield Hallam University, is designed to help employers, teachers, students and anyone involved in work experience develop strategies for creating good quality placements for young people aged 14–19.

This guide contains examples of good practice which are intended to reflect a range of different placement types in small and medium enterprises, public sector organisations, large corporate environments and in a variety of STEM-related work experience. It can be used in conjunction with the Quick Guide for STEM Work Experience Placements, which gives an overview of factors to consider when organising and offering work experience.
