Future Morph: Physiotherapist *suitable for home teaching*

In this Future Morph video, Bristol City Football Club physiotherapist Nick Dawes talks about how he became a physiotherapist. He describes the qualifications and training needed to become a physiotherapist. He describes the challenges he meets during his work which includes the treatment of injuries, player rehabilitation and responsibilities on match days. In the related activity, students investigate some of the methods used to assess fitness. Tests include flexibility (sit and reach test) and cardiovascular fitness (pulse rate and blood pressure).

An associated resources booklet, which can be found in the Introduction to Future Morph Resources, organises the resources into themes, provides an overview of the teachers’ notes, describes practical activities and suggests cross-curricular links.
