After teaching in Plymouth for 14 years, I was often invited to support teacher training and run CPD for local schools. Working alongside the PTSA and CAS, I found myself being taken out of class more and more to resource and equip teachers with the tools they need to succeed. In 2018, I stepped out of the classroom to focus more on supporting and equipping teachers to be the best they can be, for the benefit of the children they teach. I now train teachers using either NCCE materials or bespoke planning, supporting Cornwall SCITT and local universities as well as working alongside MATs to produce clear action plans to support the development of Computing in their schools.
