Improving pupil progress NY714 / A18
Summary
We want our students to be confident, curious, resilient young people who take control of their own learning. Our role as their teacher impacts directly on the progress they make.
Explore the best evidence-informed practice to really extend your own practice for the benefit of your students.
Look at how to maximise achievement through a range of pedagogical approaches, discover ways to engage even reluctant pupils, deepen learning, and make progress visible. A range of different contexts, take-away resources, effective interventions and techniques will be modelled and discussed, with planning time for how to integrate in to your own classrooms.
Some quotes from our previous participants:
The course was inspirational. The training enabled teachers to impact on their current practice to improve teaching and learning. The activities were hands on with excellent resources that can be implemented in the classroom. The course was structured to allow for discussion and review why strategies work and how this could be done in the classroom using a variety of methods. I would recommend this course to practitioners who want to improve their teaching to enhance excellent learning"
“I have regained confidence, been affirmed, challenged and supported. I have been given access to lots of helpful ideas, evidence and resources.”
“A fantastic course so far which blends theory with the practice very well and allows any practitioner to move forward on their journey from good to outstanding.”
