Looking to develop or refresh your science subject knowledge and teaching skills?  These sessions (bookable individually) are a great opportunity to learn alongside trainee teachers on an outstanding programme.

07 Jan 2020: Developing subject knowledge of materials

Materials and their properties; states of matter; reversible and irreversible changes.

20 Jan 2020: Developing subject knowledge of physics 1

Forces; the earth in space; use of planning boards to support child-led investigations.

27 Jan 2020: Developing subject knowledge of physics 2

Light, sound and electricity.

22 Apr 2020: Teacher Assessment of Primary Science (TAPS)

Assessing ‘working scientifically’ skills using TAPS focused tasks; assessing knowledge and conceptual understanding.

06 May 2020: Developing subject knowledge of living things

Plants and animals; habitats; evolution. To include input from the RSPCA education officer.
