Improving Outcomes in Science for All (remote delivery conference) FREE TO SOUTH YORKS, EAST YORKS & WHITBY SCHOOLS
This conference has primary and secondary workshops (special schools are welcome to attend either phase or a mixture of both) Day 1 Has a focus on raising aspirations of learners by including careers in science and showing you how you can include (DBS checked) STEM ambassadors within your lessons to improve outcomes. (Secondary schools this will help you meet your statutory requirements) Day 2 Has a focus on raising attainment through literacy in science, special needs within science lessons and maths in science lessons. We also have sessions on cognitive science (the science of how you learn) and gender balance. Delegates will be sent a full programme with links for individual workshops. We welcome colleagues sharing the conference between a department, however places in the workshops (on Zoom) are limited.
Outcomes
Please see specific entries for exact outcomes for the conference you are interested in, there will be the opportunity to:
- discuss current good practice in primary science
- recognise your own good practice, and identify areas for development
- reflect on ways to translate ideas to your school context, and plan for action

Please note the conference is free to South & East Yorkshire SLP schools.
There is a £50 fee for schools outside the area (apart from OA schools who can attend free of charge)
