Summary

A network meeting with other primary and secondary teachers to discuss moderation within Science, across all Key Stages.

Each meeting will have a clear structure whereby we remind ourselves of expectations and how our judgements are based on the National Curriculum standards and a judgement of meeting or not meeting is given.

Each school will bring three books per year; one from the bottom 20%, one expected and one prior higher attainer, which will be reviewed and discussed during the session.

Trends and themes from the moderation discussions are then shared afterwards.

  • Session 1 will focus on moderation for years 1 and 2.
  • Session 2 will focus on moderation for years 5 and 6
  • Session 3 will focus on moderations for years 3 and 4

Each session will take place a different location. Please check your emails for confirmation of the correct location in advance of the event.
