We are delighted to present a programme of CPD designed to support the development and delivery of an excellent science curriculum. The 10 sessions include 3 Subject Leader sessions covering areas specific to the network, followed by 7 sessions which examine the primary science curriculum in each individual year group and how to engage that specific age, identifying misconceptions in that year group and strategies to enable you to reconstruct those misconceptions. Thus, developing scientists throughout their primary journey.
Each session is aimed at class teachers and will involve participant tasks, consider ‘what this might look like in the classroom’ and signpost additional resources. All session will take place from 15:45 - 17:15.
Please note, there will be a repeat of the first subject leader session on the 19th September as a remote session.

- Engaging science in Year 5 - 3rd March 2025.
- Engaging science in Year 6 - 12th November 2024.
There is a £400 subsidy available. Please note that this does not deduct the fee immediately. You will receive an invoice for the full amount and the subsidy will be released back to the school once the invoice has been paid.
