Summary

Join us for a day of computing inspiration and Subject Leadership essentials!

Designed for busy subject leaders looking for their next steps with computing the day will cover four crucial aspects of computing subject leadership.

1. Ofsted Preparation

Are you ready for a deep dive in computing? Do you know what evidence to have to hand? Is your monitoring and evaluation up to scratch?

Find out how to be Ofsted-ready in computing and gain the confidence required to talk with an inspector about the subject you love.

2. Online Safety

Are you preparing your pupils for an increasingly challenging online world? What to teach them, and when? What other resources exist to support Online Safety in schools?

Look at resources and tools to teach effective online safety, and consider strategies to manage the workload between PSHE, RSE and Computing.

3. Action Planning

What's on your list for 2024-25?

Consider how the Computing Quality Framework can support you to prioritise and take the next steps towards a "world-leading computing education".

4. Careers

Often the hardest aspect of computing to deliver in primary schools, what can you do to inspire the next generation of computer scientists, or simply share the wealth of careers out there that provide opportunities on computing?

This face-to-face day will provide plenty of opportunities to network with colleagues and hone your subject leadership skills.
