Summary

Develop your expertise in using a wide range of physics equipment - enabling you to support teachers and create impactful science lessons.

This course has been designed to meet the physics curriculum for 11 to 16-year-old students, featuring topics which will motivate them to attain their physics qualifications. You'll explore a wide range of practicals to support teaching and learning. 

You'll practice how to prepare equipment, improve your confidence. There will be hints and tips on how to easily make physics equipment plus a session testing your soldering skills to make a simple piece of equipment to take back to the classroom. 

This course has been developed on six main strands including where to source the equipment, how to set it up, storage, scientific background of the practical, disposal and safety.

This course may support you with Science Benchmark 4 - Purposeful practical science

Suitable for experienced science technicians within a school or college who want to learn more about the subject.
