Developing science, computing and D&T in EYFS SL801 / YA02
Summary
You'll identify opportunities for young people to engage with science, computing and D&T within an Early Years setting. You'll consider what good teaching and learning looks like in ‘Understanding the World’ and develop a clear progression map into Key Stage 1 that will help build strong foundations for science across the school.
You'll learn about computational thinking and how this forms part of early learning across areas of the EYFS framework. You'll explore how technology and computing can be integrated into 'understanding the world' and the wider framework, ensuring you are confident in finding and integrating opportunities for this vital subject with young learners.
You'll identify opportunities for D&T within early learning and across areas of the EYFS Framework - increasing your confidence in ensuring provision for science, computing, and D&T in EYFS - finding and integrating opportunities across the curriculum which engage and develop young learners.
You'll return to your classroom with practical ideas to share with EYFS colleagues, ensuring students start school with the best learning experiences
