Are you a technician that has to prepare physics practicals for science lessons? If so then this course could be useful for you. Through a mixture of live online demonstrations, discussions and looking at online resources we will explore a range of common (and not so common) physics practicals and how to make sure they are effectively prepared for the student's practical experiences. The sessions will be broken down into subject areas exploring key physics topics such as forces, radioactivity, energy, waves, light and electricity and the practical that underpin these topics in lessons. Each practical will look at how to source the material, preparation and troubleshooting, what it is supposed to do, health and safety and clearing up.
