Summary

This inspirational course will enable teachers to understand the latest developments at the cutting edge of genomics research and bring this back to the classroom. You will hear from lead scientists about their research, participate in hands-on practical activities and receive expert guidance on how to link genomics research to the curriculum.

Genomics is featured in various key stage 4 and key stage 5 specifications, including GCSE Biology, A-Level Biology, BTEC Level 3 Applied Science and T Level Science. This course is aimed at teachers of these qualifications and will assume some understanding of basic principles - it is highly recommended for teachers wishing to provide students with a stimulating and rich educational experience that goes beyond specification content.
