The Professional Development Leader programme will help you use data to plan and develop an action plan, adapt CPD to meet the specific needs of a group and deal with challenging situations effectively. Aimed at Associate PDLs with experience of facilitation.


Summary

This course is for teachers and other educational consultants who want to be accredited with Lead level via our CPD Quality Mark

You should have already been accredited with the Associate level before completing this course.

Individuals must complete both modules (FD201 and FD202) to be accredited with Lead CPD Quality Mark.
Module 1 (FD201) - Remote via Adobe Connect
The Professional Development Leader Programme is our flagship approach to recruiting and developing Professional Development Leaders for a teacher and school-led national CPD programme.
Stage two builds on the skills developed through stage one and will help you move from delivery of effective professional development to leading and developing CPD to meet the needs of individual schools. You will learn how to use and embed pedagogical content knowledge and how to plan and develop effective strategies through the consultancy cycle.
This course is for those who have gained accreditation as Associate Professional Development Leader and who have already gained experience of local CPD facilitation.

Outcomes

On completion of both modules, you will be able to:
  • Use data to plan and develop an action plan for support
  • Use the consultancy cycle to set, support and exit consultancy work
  • Adapt CPD to meet the specific needs of a group
  • Use educational news and research to inform support
