Curriculum development in partnership with STEM employers NC211

Summary

This evidence-informed CPD supports leaders in technical and vocational subjects to develop a rich and relevant curriculum, drawing on support from employers in impactful and efficient ways, and building relevant skills, employability and aspiration among young people.

Participants will consider how and when employers can positively support curriculum design and implementation, making the most of experts and role-models, site visits and other employer-engagements. You will also consider how to integrate authentic assessment in a range of situations including through effective project-based learning.

Learning from real-world case studies of effective employer and educator partnerships, you’ll develop an action plan fit for your setting that acknowledges the potential of existing employer links and prioritises new relationships.
