Summary
Ensuring that the science curriculum is planned to take account of what pupils learn, particularly in mathematics’ is a key recommendation in Ofsted’s Finding the optimum: the science subject report, February 2023.
This 2 day course aims to exemplify how science and mathematics education can be strengthened through an integrated approach to curriculum planning and teaching.
This is an opportunity for primary science leaders and primary mathematics leaders, from the same school or MAT, to engage with high quality CPD. You will be able to work together to develop integrated approaches to teaching that enhance learning in both curriculum areas

Participants will be able to:
- develop their understanding of how to design a curriculum that supports the integration of mathematics skills within the teaching and learning of science

- identify opportunities to consolidate mathematics learning in a science context
