In this short course you will explore how to lead your staff in improving practical work to make it as effective as possible, utilising all the expertise and ideas you have in your team.


Summary

In this course you will consider the features of effective practical work, plan how you will involve your team in developing a practical work policy and explore a range of tools to support planning workshops and a practical work audit.
 
As you work through this course you will develop your own action plan, detailing the steps you will take to lead the development of practical work in your context, and some of the key considerations you’ll keep in mind to maintain staff engagement as you implement your plan.

This course is suitable for secondary practitioners with responsibility for Teaching and Learning,  Lead Practitioners, Heads of Department, Senior Leaders. Second in science, and aspiring leaders in science.
