Primary Science: Creating curious minds NY080

Discover practical ideas to get children thinking scientifically and develop conceptual understanding.

Summary

Children question everything wanting to understand the mechanics behind the world they meet. Primary science should nurture this natural curiosity, to develop children’s understanding of the world and teach them essential enquiry skills. It should start the process of inspiring our scientists of the future as they build their understanding of the value and place science has in their lives.

This one day course will support you to improve your primary science practice and inspire the children in your school. You will learn creative approaches to teaching science, how to develop practical activities to enhance learning and how to get children thinking like a scientist.

FREE accommodation on Saturday night at Franklin House is included, to make the most of exploring what York has to offer!
