Headstart Cymru
Headstart Cymru is a three-day residential course giving Year 12 students the opportunity to spend time at a University Engineering, Product Design or Electronics Department prior to making their UCAS application.
Students will take part in hands-on sessions to explore practical principles in engineering, as well as participating in group-based design, build and test projects.
Students stay in University accommodation, dine in the student union and take a tour of the campus with undergraduates. Evening activities are arranged to give students a real experience of university life.
The course costs £130 including all meals and accommodation. There are funded places available for students in West, North Wales and the Valleys, please see our website for more information.
