Ocean Explorers Club - Marine Biology FREE Virtual Session

WiseOceans is marine conservation and education company that has been delivering marine education across the world, both virtually and in person, for over ten years. During the last ten years, we have engaged over 11,000 students and teachers across 37 countries!  

Our virtual lessons are delivered by active marine biologists and conservationists who are also experienced educators. Lessons aim to engage, educate, and inspire the next generation, focusing on the wonder of our oceans and the positive steps we can take to help them. 

This is a FREE virtual class is all about coral reefs, the incredible ocean habitats that are vital for both the creatures that live inside them and human beings who live around them. This class will cover what corals are, why coral reefs are so important and will take a look at some of the animals that call them home. Our presentations are full of photos and videos of the coral reefs around the world, including some of our educators’ own footage taken while working in the field. 

Sessions are virtual and last 40 minutes and aim to be interactive when appropriate with class size. A short pop quiz takes place at the end to help solidify what the children have learnt throughout, and time for their questions can be allocated. Worksheets are provided that the students can complete in their own time after the lesson.  

Lessons can be tailored to suit your class size, age, and ability. It doesn’t matter where in the world you are based! You will just need an internet connection and a class full of curious minds.

The aim of these classes is to enhance your curriculum, support class topics or just to bring marine biology and the wonder of the ocean into your classroom!
