BlokTec.com: Robotics & Coding Club
Based in London, BlokTec is all about teaching S.T.E.A.M.* skills to children & adults alike.BlokTec uses "real-world", programmable, Lego-compatible robots to establish and reinforce engineering, technical & programming skills as we explore our world through stimulating themes & stories.* [S]...The VEX IQ Challenge (VEX Robotics)
The VEX IQ Challenge allows students to design and build a robot from scratch to compete in regional, national and international events using the VEX IQ tool-less robotic platform. The actual challenge changes every year, but the same concepts remain so students and teams knowledge can grow with the programme.The...Crumble Coding
These fantastic workshops allow students to find out how things are made, how they work and how they are controlled. Investigating machines such as cars, traffic lights, instruments, parking sensors, lighthouses makes students think about the man-made world around them and how it works. The Crumble...Beginner STEMbotics: Robotics & Coding
Students can build from instructions on hundreds of designs, or get creative and build their own robots. Once built, the LEGO robots are capable of moving and detecting other objects using motion and tilt sensors using icon or block coding. We take a very cross-curricular approach to our sessions and will happily adapt...Real Science or Just Bangs? (Science of Fireworks show)
Explore the colourful and explosive world of pyrotechnics as Matthew Tosh deconstructs the STEM behind firework displays. He'll demonstrate how to create colours, different sound effects, shock waves and perfectly timed bursts in time to music, whilst ensuring that displays are safe. Fully customisable to fit your...STAR Centre
The STAR Centre in keighley is a lively science hub that uses space as a theme to encourage learners into undertaking science related subjects.Come and explore our space world. Undertake lifelike Mission Control simulations, drive a planetary rover in our Astrobotics area, conduct experiments in our Laboratory and...STEMdrones: Drone Coding Workshop
Students taking part in our Drone Coding workshop will learn to code the flight patterns of their drones using block programming or Swift coding language (used to develop apps on iPhone and iPad). They'll provide algorithmic instructions to their drone to make it take-off, land, do flips and somersaults, as well...STEMgineers Build & Drive Radio-Controlled Vehicle Workshop
When learners take part in our STEMgineers: RC Build & Drive workshop they will learn about key mechanical engineering principles by building a 1/10th scale radio-controlled electric vehicle. Upon completion students will have the incredible opportunity of taking part in a series of thrilling driving skills...STEM-X Launch Prize
Design an experiment to be conducted in microgravity by Astronauts onboard the International Space Station! Under the guidance of NASA Astronauts, Space Scientists and World-Renowned Professors, your goal is to design an experiment that could benefit humanity on or off the planet. With the help from our brilliant NASA...Intermediate/Advanced STEMbotics: Robotics & Coding Workshop (UK2-KS4)
Our Intermediate / Advanced robotics and coding workshops provide students with opportunities to code, design, engineer and build their own robots, in both simple and complex forms. We can set challenges that are tailored to your school’s needs and these workshops have curriculum links to Computing, Design...Pages

Grants for school
The Royal Institution runs two enrichment and enhancement grant schemes. Grants of up to £500 are available to UK-registered state schools to host a STEM activity selected from the STEM Directories.
There are a number of other organisations that offer grants to schools.
