With the deadline for the STEM Learning Teaching Awards only a few days away, we caught up with Laura Lazenby, part of the MK ENTHUSE Partnership, our previous winner of ENTHUSE Partnership of the year.

The MK Enthuse Partnership has provided so many opportunities for the staff and students within our schools. One Year on, after winning 'Enthuse Partnership of the year', the aims and needs of the schools continually evolve, not wanting to stand still.

Although the partnerships between the schools are not as formal as they once were, Milton Keynes continues to set an excellent example of teachers communicating effectively to support each other's growth. Individual schools are now working hard to transfer their learning and experiences to forge new partnerships, many of which are with local primary schools.

On a personal level, taking part in the project has given me the confidence to take more risks within my teaching whilst looking for new ways to bring careers into the classroom. Since starting the project I have moved schools to progress my career further, first becoming Director of STEAM and more recently Director of Student Engagement. I look back on the project with fond memories but also, I look forward to all the new opportunities that have arisen as a result of taking part in the project. The funding was appreciated however, the most valuable tool to our success was the enthusiasm and support from all the staff that took part.
