Science with reason

Science is one of the three core subjects in the National Curriculum, but many teachers are intimidated by science, and find it difficult to teach in a positive manner. In this book a balance of tightly-argued theory and practical, relevant case-studies are interwoven.

Teachers are encouraged to approach science as they would approach language teaching - by beginning with what the child already knows. Stories told by practising teachers are used to explain, in a practical and accessible way, how theory can be put into practice.
