Science companions 2

Written to accompany the National Curriculum for science in England, Wales and Northern Ireland at levels 3 to 5, this series of three volumes, plus separate answer books, addresses the programmes of study for Key Stage 3.

The books are organized in themes which relate to the attainment targets.;Each theme is a full-colour double-page spread providing factual information and explanations, including work on the nature of science.

Information is balanced with activities which are aimed at developing the science from the preceding two pages through "try it yourself" practical activities, questions, puzzles and suggestions for further research. The practical activities are in most cases simple explorations of science and should be suitable for home use as well as in the classroom.
