What's up with Paulina? Medikidz explain food allergy
Nearly five percent of children under the age of 5 years and 18 percent under the age of 18 years, have food allergies. Although most children 'outgrow' their allergies, allergy to peanuts, tree nuts, fish and shellfish may be life-long. Once diagnosed, most children can often find it confusing and difficult to understand why their body reacts differently to certain foods.
