Accessible physics: a guided coursebook for A-Level

This volume and its accompanying "Solutions manual", should enable students to achieve success in A Level physics. It covers the compulsory cores of all the major syllabuses, including the Northern Board's extensive nuclear unit.

The text is supported by clear line diagrams to explain complex concepts. Attention is focused on essential principles, the authors aiming to provide students with an everyday course companion, yet offering the relevant background detail and applications.

Explanations are full, and the book should be suitable for guided self-study. Guided examples lead progressively through the major syllabuses for 1996 and beyond.

Self-assessments monitor progress, with a choice of "qualitative" and "quantitative" questions and a set of solutions available to teachers. Extra help is provided with mathematical concepts wherever necessary to produce a book which will benefit students of all levels of ability.
