This is the second book in a two-book photocopiable resource series that provides teachers with accessible resources for guiding students through some of the more challenging but interesting concepts in astronomy. The activities involve students in problem- solving and cater to a range of learning styles, including cooperative group activities. Book A contents include: stars and constellations; solar eclipses and coronas; dust clouds in space; radiant energy; galaxies in collision; shooting stars; black holes; supernovas. Book B contents include: analysis of individual planets; the use of global positioning systems; dark matter and gravity; orbits; weather satellites; life on other planets, and much more.
