Maths outside the classroom

This book  is the culmination of ideas from a group of Devon teachers who engaged in a small scale project to identify opportunities to take maths outside the classroom. From 'Do longer bean pods hold more beans?' to 'The further from the river bank the larger the pebbles', it provides a rich source of more than 50 activities to stimulate mathematical enquiry in the outdoor environment across the primary age range. This is the first in the series of publications Finding maths in different places.
