Good to Eat
An interactive resource from the Association for Science Education (ASE) that introduces nutrition, and offers students the chance to have their say on healthy eating. Students research different nutrients and their sources, before making changes to a player's favourite menu to try and improve its 'Nutrigauge' score.
This activity is suited to younger students. The resource can be used simply as a source of information on different nutrients, but is more effective if students use their knowledge to select different choices for the player. A worksheet is provided to help them record their background information. After they have amended the player's menu, they can print out the feedback messages as a record of their work.
