Teachers Evaluating and Assessing Mathematics (TEAM): Section 2 - Reflections on Classroom Practice

A resource from the Mathematics Centre at the University of Chichester. Teachers Evaluating and Assessing Mathematics (TEAM) believed that if all students were to begin their courses in secondary schools within the spirit of the new (at the time) GCSE proposals, and were encouraged to take greater initiatives in determining their own mathematical development, then this should lead to a richer mathematical environment in the classroom and a more positive attitude towards coping with assessment.

Section two of the project contains:

1. Case studies by probationary teachers (NQTs) and responses by heads of department.

2. Comments on initiating changes within a mathematics department.

3. Personal reflections from 'learners' of mathematics.
