Revised Nuffield Physics Teachers’ Guide Year 3
The Teachers’ Guides for Revised Nuffield Physics sought to convey the spirit of the approach and its rationale while providing all the technical details for the experiments (based on the Guides to Experiments in the first edition). The guides suggested a language for talking about ideas in physics at an appropriate level at each stage of the course. The guides did not include answers to the many questions in the parallel student texts. The Teachers’ Guide for year 3 included detailed justifications for the approach adopted for teaching about waves, optics and the other topics in the programme for the year. Many of the experiments have been re-presented, with modern guidance on health and safety, on the Institute of Physics website
