Summary
This training provides NQTs with the opportunity to develop key aspects of science teaching. We will cover a range of topical subjects over the 2 days. Day 1 will cover assessment & differentiation, time management and behaviour management for science. Day 2 will cover effective examination preparation, career progression and using STEM to enrich the curriculum.
Outcomes
You will be able to:
- Demonstrate the ability to use a wide range of approaches to teaching & learning in the classroom
- Apply an extended range of Assessment for Learning (AfL) strategies to promote students learning in science
- Draw on the experience of others to reflect upon and develop your own practice
- Identify opportunities for your own Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to support a rewarding and successful teaching career
