Best Practice in Employer Engagement

Produced by the Learning Skills Improvement Service (LSIS), this case study tackles the themes of employer engagement and curriculum development. It looks at the real situations being faced by South Thames College, which wanted to stay current and leading-edge in delivery of their motorcycle maintenance apprenticeship. Constraints on delivery included syllabus challenges, employer commitment and student interest. The college turned these problems into opportunities through their best practices in employer engagement and as a result found a number of resourceful solutions to difficult issues.
