Silver Award: Squeaky Clean
These materials look at three possible projects that relate to cleaning products and tackling microbes that spread disease: * Communications project - students act as health promotion specialists trying to persuade people about the need to wash hands after using the toilet. * Practical project - students investigate if hand washing makes hands cleaner and compare the effectiveness of using soap and water with the an alcohol hand gel. * Research project - research the range of cleaning products on the market, evaluate the effectiveness of methods for infection control and decide if antiseptics have a place in the home.
