Steady Hand Games
From the Centre for Science Education, and with support from Shell Education services, these materials help children to design a game to test their hand control. The game makes use of the fact that electricity will only flow around a complete circuit.
Children need to navigate a wire loop along a bent wire course without touching them together and completing the circuit. If this happens, the circuit is completed and a buzzer sounds. It can be designed in any shape and switches can be built in.
Teacher guidance gives information on the materials required, scientific context and an outline of the activity.
