Testing the Theory
In this Triple Crossed activity, from the Centre for Science Education and supported by the Astra Zeneca Teaching Trust, students are provided with information about Charles Darwin and his work.
The Theory of Evolution by Natural Selection is discussed and students are asked to comment on the characteristics of certain animals. They are then asked to think about continued evolution and what the environment might be like in the future.
The final task is to draw an image of what they feel a human might look like in the future taking into account the environment they have predicted.
Students review and evaluate their learning using a self-assessment sheet at the end of the activity.
