Horrible science

This journal is one of over 25,000 physical resources available from the Resources Collection. The Archive Collection covers over 50 years of curriculum development in the STEM subjects. The Contemporary Collection includes the latest publications from UK educational publishers.

The Horrible Science magazines are designed to get children interested in science by concentrating on the trivial, unusual, gory, or unpleasant. They are based on everyday topics and key areas of the curriculum. The magazine aims to emphasise the drama and excitement and wonder of science. Science words and concepts are introduced gradually often using humour or fact files.
