Strengthening Subject Leadership
Offered in partnership with Sussex Science Learning Partnership
These are regular Area based science subject leader network groups aimed at improving science subject leadership through sharing good practice in:
• developing subject knowledge;
• using resources to support the teaching of science skills and knowledge across the curriculum;
• understanding the skills of working scientifically and their application;
• developing a greater understanding of the national standards in each phase and progression of these in the national curriculum;
• formative assessment;
• ensuring whole school consistency;
• sharing effective practice and resources used in schools
.
Outcomes
You will:
- develop the teaching and assessment of working scientifically in your school
- develop your schemes of work/learning in order to enhance the teaching and learning of science in your school
