A unit circle is marked off in equal arc lengths. The resulting points are joined back to a single point. The challenge is to find the products of the lengths of the chords drawn in each circle. Finding the answer involves repeated use of the cosine ratio. The answer is equal to the number of points marked.

A formal derivation of the result involves the use of complex numbers, the factor theorem, and polynomial division.
