The purpose of this publication (one of a series produced by the IEE on energy matters) is to describe the environmental effects of all forms of electricity generation currently in use or proposed. It provides the basic facts for those who wish to understand the issues involved and to make their own judgments as to the merits and demerits of the various energy generations processes. (1994)
