From raindrop to kettle NW026 / A17
Summary
This one day course will provide practitioners with the skills and knowledge to teach elements of the ICT, numeracy, literacy, ESDGC, science, history and geography curricula using the Rivers Dee and Tryweryn as examples.
Topics covered will include river systems, water resource management, flooding and man’s influence. You will also be given practical advice on how to access a watercourse with an education group.
Outcomes
You will be able to:
- improve your knowledge of how to use rivers for optimum educational impact
- have increased confidence in using outdoors /rivers with a class
- identify the cross curricula themes from undertaking a river study
