Summary
From seasons to machines and magnets to space this two-day course will explore engaging, hands-on teaching opportunities to develop pupils’ subject knowledge in physics.
You will develop your own subject knowledge to ensure pupils develop the key foundation knowledge for each stage of the primary curriculum. Through the exploration of pupil misconceptions you will develop a working understanding of how best to teach the more abstract concepts outlined in the physics programmes of study.
Outcomes
You will be able to:
• Explore practical activities to teach physics and ensure progression of learning
• Develop an understanding of physics in the primary science curriculum
• Enhance your subject knowledge of the big ideas in physics
