Summary

This practical CPD for primary school teachers will provide you with a bank easy to use ideas that you can take away with you to enable your pupils to conduct experiments and have fun.
Hands-on experience promotes curiosity and engagement and provides opportunities for the discussion and questioning which develop understanding.
All activities within the course have been designed to be affordable for any school budget, with resources easily purchased at your local supermarket.
This course is designed to support the Working Scientifically objectives. 

Outcomes

By the end of the session you will be able to:

  • appreciate the importance of engaging children in practical work that enables them to make links to everyday life
  • understand what ‘working scientifically’ means and know what good teaching and learning in primary science looks like
  • have a bank of ideas to use with your class
