Summary

Informed and active subject leadership is seen to be a key factor in moving science forward. Undoubtedly, where schools have a strong subject leader who is engaged and excited by science, with the capacity to impact and influence, change takes place and outcomes for children respond accordingly. During this day course you will explore the nature of your leadership and consider strategies that you might use to influence others and impact on the teaching and learning of science in your school. A series of crucial updates will also be provided, ensuring that you feel confident and equipped to support others in, for example, assessment matters, working scientifically, subject knowledge and OfSTED related concerns.
