Summary

During this course, participants will have the chance to try several hands-on science activities that can develop skills across the EYFS framework. There will be opportunities to reflect and adapt them to make them meaningful for your setting. There will be a session on how stereotypes affect children, what impact they might have in your setting and what strategies can be used to overcome them. 

Outcomes

  • Have an extended range of strategies to engage children with their immediate environment
  • Identify and plan opportunities for the progression of key skills in science in EYFS
  • Reflect on personal practice and messages given to individual children
