Teach on the beach & brilliant bogs (Teachers in Wales) NW031

Summary

Suitable for Primary educators interested in using their local beach or bog for outdoor learning - facilitated by experts from Natural Resources Wales.

A mostly practical, outdoors CPD event to develop confidence, knowledge and skills in relation to the Curriculum for Wales through connecting learners to the natural world.  From learning how to measure the age of a sand dune to learning about the important role bogs play in combatting climate change, this hands-on course will give inspiration as to how the natural environment can be used to deliver across the 6 AoLE's.

The day will include an informal look at risk benefit analysis (risk assessment) and self-led outdoor learning within the wider community e.g. accessing NRW land for educational activities. Any enquiries, please email Wales Administrator: joss@techniquest.org
