Addition and subtraction worksheet
In this STEM activity, pupils will solve three addition and subtraction problems, with the answers giving the digits needed to crack the code to a safe. This activity allows pupils to further their abilities to add and subtract numbers with up to three numbers mentally and using formal columnar methods and to solve missing number problems involving addition and subtraction. This activity could be used as a starter activity covering previous learning, a plenary activity reinforcing learning that has just taken place or as part of a wider scheme of learning focussing on addition and subtraction. This activity supports the Year 3 Maths curriculum and has been provided by the IEP (Institution of Engineering and Technology).
