Session 5 - Get it sorted

The main objective of this session is to understand sorting algorithms in the context of a ‘bubble sort’ activity

Instructions: 

  • Discussion- In computer science terminology, what do you think ‘bubble sort’ might be?
  • Explanation of sorting algorithms with ‘bubble sort’ example shown (activity plan)
  • Main Activity- Print off the activity sheet and Number cards 0-50.
  • Follow the instructions given and carry out the sorting activity as directed.
  • Play again but this time, aim to surpass the previous time in ‘beat the clock’ or race against a partner
